Josephine Carpenter
November 27, 1914 - May 31, 2008
Mrs. Josephine "Jo" Carpenter, 93 of Savannah, died May 31, 2008 at Hospice of Savannah following a short illness.
A long time resident of Massachusetts and New Hampshire, she moved to Savannah in 1989. Jo was an active volunteer at several Savannah-Chatham Schools, Royce Learning Center and was involved in various Senior Citizen activities.
Mrs. Carpenter is survived by a son, Jack Carpenter of Arizona; a daughter, Dorothy Lee of Savannah and two grandsons.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Family and friends not able to attend are asked to take a moment at that time to remember and celebrate her life.
A remembrance fund has been established at Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.
